Cute! Are you lot rabies vaxxed?

level 2

If reddit taught me anything, it's that OP is gonna die from rabies before long.

Hither in Idaho a guy came in for what he thought was an adverse reaction to the Covid vaccine. He was soon hospitalized and later died. An epidemiologist had a suspicion that at that place was more to the story and had an autopsy done. Certain enough it was rabies. They asked the family if he had any contact with a bat recently and one of them said yep, and showed a video he had sent of a bat that had flown straight at him and scratched him up as information technology went downwards his hoodie. i of 5 cases this year, 2 of which were in Idaho.

And make sure it'south within the concluding x years, the effectiveness can Wayne over time.

It price 9k for me to be rabies vaxxed. Super expensive.

When I was a young teen I had a bat flying effectually in my room all dark. It settled downward and was kinda clinging to the wall by morning. I went and got my dad and he merely put some gloves on, plucked it off the wall, and tossed it outside. He seemed unconcerned but now I'g starting to think he was trying to kill me off.

The rabies vaccine is actually very expensive. While information technology would be fantastic for the general population to get the vaccine regularly, it wouldn't be feasible. Because a) how shit our healthcare and insurance is in America and b) people clearly don't like to take care of themselves, judging by the last 2 years.

Which sucks bc rabies is prob i of the absolute worst ways to die.

level ii

I think if information technology bites it's merely a 0.1% risk to infect with rabies from bats. Still that's a 0.1% chance for a horrible decease. It's very unlikely it would e'er bite y'all in the first place though unless it has rabies. Rabies is extremely rare in humans. You are much more than likely to take hold of rabies from a skunk or raccoon, and fifty-fifty then it's extremely unlikely.

level 2

Color me surprised.

Reddit has a weird fascination with rabies and prions. Whenever in that location is something remotely connected to information technology someone it going to post about information technology. Bonus points if someone posts that creepy video of a fox trying to enter some house while having severe example of rabies.

level 2

In some countries rabies has been eradicated; so may not be relevant.
