The rabies vaccine is actually very expensive. While information technology would be fantastic for the general population to get the vaccine regularly, it wouldn't be feasible. Because a) how shit our healthcare and insurance is in America and b) people clearly don't like to take care of themselves, judging by the last 2 years.
Which sucks bc rabies is prob i of the absolute worst ways to die.

I think if information technology bites it's merely a 0.1% risk to infect with rabies from bats. Still that's a 0.1% chance for a horrible decease. It's very unlikely it would e'er bite y'all in the first place though unless it has rabies. Rabies is extremely rare in humans. You are much more than likely to take hold of rabies from a skunk or raccoon, and fifty-fifty then it's extremely unlikely.
